The last time I used Pascal was in university and for a short time after
that.
For most part, Pascal is used in educational environment and not in the
professional one.
Every major operating system is written in C and most of application
programming is done in C/C++.
If a programmer does not know C/C++, then he is limited to a very narrow
field of expertise.
There is nothing wrong with that and it can be done, but supporting a
narrow audience is very costly (timewise).
The problem is not really the choice of a language; C++ vs. Pascal, but
the programming experience; advanced vs. beginner.
Beginners will get lost no matter what language is used.
I think creating another project/fork of Kicad just to support Pascal
takes a lot of effort that could be used elsewhere.
Just my opinion,
Martin

Hello friends I would like to exchange an idea with friends I see
quite a programming in pascal and nothing programming in C, would like
to share a dream logic that I have with the permission of the
developers official kicad to make a version similar to opensouce you
make using the compiler Lazarus, if allowed and friends would find
this interesting idea to start working on the project logically with
the help of others.
I like the style and features of kicad and consider it a powerful
tool but many beginners even a long time ago I was lost because the
resources it is a bit hidden. So I would like to contribute more to
the project
