Hi Developers,

This topic was discussed a little some time ago. I've just read an
flyer from Mentor about some improvements in PADS Logic and PADS PBC
related to alphanumeric pin naming and pin mapping between symbol and
decal ('module' in KiCad's language). For those who do not know this,
it seems that such functionality exists in PADS from quite long time.
They use this to map transistors between cases as well as map FPGAs to
BGA cases numbered according to JEDEC standards.

I think it is worth to consider such functionality for KiCad in future.
