Re: kicad-pcb.org

Hi,

Miguel said he somehow is not on this list, and wanted me to reply for him "and tell them it's restored now, and that I'm working on the migration to a new host? (I have migrated around 15 vms... and I was getting ready to migrate kicad-pcb.org, a backup must have destabilized the host)"
He also said "the old host was a bit outdated"

So hopefully the site will not go down as often now!

Hey Brian,

It looks like the site is down again. I just tried to take a look at
your changes. Thank you by the way. I'll take a look at it as soon as
the site is back up. If I write up a short blurb on the history of
KiCad, would you be interested in formatting it and creating a project
history page? It might be nice to give a nod to the folks who were
there at the beginning when the project went public. I would also like
us to add a sponsor's page. From a corporate perspective, I think it's
important to recognize the contributions that helped KiCad get where it
is today. The first two sponsors on that list should be SoftPLC and
CERN. If I'm missing any other corporate sponsors, please let me know.
I want to make sure credit is given where credit is due.

I'll try to contact Miguel directly if I don't hear from him over the
next few days.

Cheers,

Wayne

Looks like it just fell over, however I updated
http://www.kicad-pcb.org/display/KICAD/About+KiCad last night with the
information in AUTHORS.txt

There's some more to do, but at least the majority of it is up there.
I'd like to do some info on the individual programs under About KiCad.

I believe Miguel is the guy to speak to.

Best Regards,

Brian.

Now that I am the project leader, it would be useful for me to know who
the kicad-pcb.org site maintainer is and who has write access so I can
enlist (read arm twisting ;)) help getting changes made and keeping
things up to date.

Thanks,

Wayne
