To complement Cirilo's answer: most of KiCad's source is GPL2+ (i.e.
"GPL2 or later"). The push and shove router including the upcoming
diff pair and length control/matching support is GPL3+. The '+' in
"GPL2+" is important. That's what allows linking the GPL2+ and GPL3+
bits. The same argument applies to the '+' in "GPL3+" and future code
which could get released under future versions of GPL.
