Re: Attempting to build kicad-git source on Slackware-current Linux

Hello, Tom!

I don't know if it's of any help to you. On Arch Linux, I am manually building a locally installed test version of kicad.git using the attached script.

Installed packages containing "wx" are currently:
$ pacman -Q -s wx
local/python-wxpython 4.0.7.2-1
    Cross-platform GUI toolkit
local/python2-wxpython3 3.0.2.0-3
Classic wxWidgets GUI toolkit for Python
local/wxformbuilder-svn 3.5.2.RC2.r2225-1
Designer, GUI builder, and RAD tool For wxWidgets
local/wxgtk-common 3.0.5.1-1
Common libraries and headers for wxgtk2 and wxgtk3
local/wxgtk2 3.0.5.1-1
GTK+2 implementation of wxWidgets API for GUI
local/wxgtk2.8 2.8.12.1-6
GTK+ implementation of wxWidgets API for GUI
local/wxgtk3 3.0.5.1-1
GTK+3 implementation of wxWidgets API for GUI

You can peek the build instructions for wxgtk* and others in the Arch repositories. i.e.:
https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/blob/packages/wxgtk/trunk/PKGBUILD

Regards,

Clemens
