Issue 6121- extend system strings by the current date
Good evening,
this issue is about a feature to get the date/time in documents. Date should be updated.
A few months ago, after discussions with the user who requested this feature, I made a proposal (MR 820) consisting in the possibility to add date/time in the title block of schematics. It is updated when you save schematics/boards and customization is made in settings dialogs. This provides a way to compare two versions of printed or PDF documents.
Seth was not sure about this implementation to solve the issue.
So, the use-case I suggest is:
- the user needs to get date/time on his schematics;
- the string is updated when saving the schematics.
What do you think about this suggestion ?
