they take up about 270MB of space no one is using. The contents of the
footprints_doc is generated from the pcb files in the modules folder,

It seems they were made by Bernd Wiebus in 2013.

I don't think we should keep these kind of docs like this. Shall I
make a pull request to remove them or would some of the librarians
take care of this?
