Oh, if thats the one hanging, I saw that and wrote it off to an oddity
of my environment - guess that its just been subterraneous.

Have a look at a process tree : I bet you'll find debuild and children
stuck with a looping stty process.

There is a known 'win' for stty when bash reparents it and it can't do
its job, it goes into a loop - there are lkml discussions etc about
not-quite-the-same-but-enough-to-get-context.
