Better Privacy checkpoint 2012-02-15

= Better Privacy checkpoint 2012-02-15 =

== Summary ==

 * Hardened bugs and teams is done.
 * Social private teams is done.
 * Linaro no longer require private distros.

== Hardened bugs and teams ==

  * DONE: [danhg] and [sinzui]: Blog post based on Curtis's email abot
language and introducing proprietary bugs and branches.

No further actions. This part of the feature is now done!

== Manage sharing ==

Curtis is happy to have three staff working on manage sharing!

Dan has been testing. He did tests with six people on the clickable
prototype and is writing up the results.

People are still getting confused. We're going to do one last pass at this
UI. Purple will create flat mock-ups, which Huw can review, and then Dan
will test those mock-ups. Purple are creating the mock-ups as Huw is
already busy.

 * IN REVIEW:[purple] Populating and maintaining the access policy data
 * IN PROGRESS: [purple] change the ribbon wording when the ENUMs are in
the database. ENUMs hitting the db soon.

UI will be workable in the next two weeks, possibly minus searching and
filtering. There is a small transition point: we have a hack cin place for
owners of projects that have propriertary bugs enabled that lets them see
all proprietary bugs in their projet even if they're not subscribed. That's
contradictory to the policies, so we know to remove that. Three day period
where that'll be gone. We have a workaround in place for the one project
that we think will be affected.

=== Actions ===

 * [danhg]: Write up the testing results and share them.
 * [purple]: To create flat mock-ups
 * [huwshimi] Review flat mock-ups before Dan's testing
 * [purple]: Discuss changes with Huw and implement as necessary
 * [danhg]: Testing of flat mock-ups
 * [purple]: Remove the hack and switch over to policies.
 * [sinzui]: Warn Laura when this happen so that she can anticipate
complaints.

 * LATER: [purple] Turn on +manage-sharing and security through the access
policy

== Social private teams ==

 * DONE: [matsubara]: Acceptance testing

Emailed Curtis with his findings but, by and large, social private teams
seems to be working for the use cases that Diogo tested.

Fallout: more an entitlement issue. Steve and Curtis have done two rounds
of changes. They have some feature changes they want to release to address
concerns of OEM. They need to email stakeholders. There may not be an issue
with permission to create PPAs once social private teams are released in a
couple of days.

Social teams is now considered DONE!

== Private projects ==

 * Linaro do not require private distros. This cuts several weeks from the
Better Privacy project.

=== Actions ===

 * [mrevell] Update LEP re private distros

 * LATER: [purple] record and warn the user about disclosing private teams
to private projects. Precisely state that you are exposing your team to a
project only.
 * LATER: [mrevell] When the warnings are ready (see above), test with
stakeholders.

== Entitlement ==

 * IN PROGRESS: [purple] Dirt cheap entitlement coming. On hold for the
moment but work due to start again soon.
