I believe the activity log is useful. User do use it to see what users
have done. There is one bug asking that we allow users to page though
the older data. I would like that too since we do not complete activity
reporting.
Stopping balancing and showing numbers fixes about 12 of the 32 karma
bugs. We could close about another 12 that request that Lp give karma
for some action, but we might reinterpret those bugs as requests to log
activity.
