Are we showing you potential duplicates we shouldn't, or is the problem that you are unable to decide whether one of those bugs is a duplicate or not?
I'm unable to decide if one of the bugs is duplicate of other bugs. For e.g. if apport reports some bug it would have some syntax & stuff which makes it easier for people to decide . [Bug 124947] file-roller crashed with SIGSEGV in strlen() now if somebody reports through apport & the same string is there file-roller crashed with SIGSEGV in strlen() then its the same bug (most probably) but if it shows something like ' I was deleting a file when it crashed' or something which is similar but a user can't say for sure whether its a duplicate or a different bug altogether. ATleast not by the heading.

So would the system show the private bug or > would it allow to post the duplicate also? Unfortunately, no. Private bugs aren't well-handled in this situation, and that's an unfortunate consequence of how apport works right now; we're working to provide a better forum for crashes, though.
Ah ok, btw apport fails for me when I try to report bugs over 4 MiB, giving me an error message like :- Could not upload report data to crash database: HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error or sometimes HTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway . Dunno the reason for it. as there is no other net activity after than apport. And after apport gives me the error if I try to browse the net or do any other net activity , chatting, torrenting etc. they all work. Is there some way to find some more info. why it didn't do a successful upload?

This is an Ubuntu-specific issue, so I'm copying Brian here to give you some advice. -- Christian Robottom Reis | http://async.com.br/~kiko/ | [+55 16] 3376 0125
