But if you'd disappear without saying anything people wouldn't understand it when you wouldn't reply when they ask you something via the mail or at LP. This could be solved by placing a notice at your blog and mail everyone in the mailinglists of the teams you're active in, but that would give a lot of off-topic mailinglist noise and not everyone would be warned. If an option to Launchpad would be added to tell the system you're away and for how long people would understand if you didn't reply. But in order to prevent people from having to look in your profile everytime if you're away, your name should also be marked while you're away. The date of return can just be showed at your profile. Any thoughts?I think the feature you are suggesting is, or is like, the launchpad-vacation feature. There is a spec for it: https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/launchpad/+spec/launchpad-vacation -- __Curtis C. Hovey_________ http://launchpad.net/
This is indeed something similar, but not exactly what I suggested. ;) It's something different. But I think the suggestion I made could be a perfect addition for this, if they aren't already planning to add this feature in the UI.
