The wiki should be working now, thanks to James and the
#canonical-sysadmin team.  And in the process they found a moin bug:

https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/moin/+bug/217191
moin creates all pages as directories in one top level directory

...The above in combination with ext2/3's '32K-directories in one
directory' limit caused wiki.ubuntu.com to break...

And it also explains the sporadic editing failures in the last few
days....

So I guess that means we have about 32000 wiki pages - congrats,
teams!

I'm slightly amazed that the max size of a Moin Moin wiki is 32,000 pages..

Hello,

PPA buildds running at half capacity 15th April
--------------------------------------------------------------------

You may notice that PPA packages take longer to build between 08.00
and 17.00 UTC on the 15th April.

We're expecting this slowdown during planned maintenance of our buildd
machines. Launchpad will still attempt to build your packages but will
have only half as much capacity as normal.

I'm sorry if this causes Launchpad to take longer to build any of your packages.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

That's not a deliberately set limit - read all of his mail.

Just wondering, if there is any special treatment for bug attachments
that are marked as patches with "This attachment is a patch" checkbox?

It looks like they're absolutely not distinguished from regular
attachments both in bugmail and Launchpad. Or are they?

Hi,

last night,  roughly 20 tickets of  the Zope 2 tracker were marked as
Invalid by a person (never heard its name) which is no part of the Zope 2
developers group on LP. Independent of each ticket I am a bit surprised
that obviously any authenticated LP user is able to change the workflow
state of a ticket. Is there a configuration option on LP for changing this
behavior?

I did notice that the PageHits page started from 0 a couple of days ago.

Can this be related to this moin limitation or did someone just
restart the count manually?

That's interesting.  It's controlled by the page-hits macro which is
admittedly flaky in our current version of moin.

We (Canonical) are looking at updating moin to a much newer release in
the coming months. The Launchpad help wiki I suspect will be one of
the first to be upgraded.  There will be announcements and such when
we are ready to do it so stay tuned to your normal channels.

In an advanced search you can search for all bugs with a patch attached to them.

There is no option at present as far as I know.  I can't find a bug
requesting it but I suspect there is one, or should be.

There is access control on bug severity but not on status, which may
seem strange.

Can you point out one of the relevant bugs?

I wander what hardy would be like if all bug reports were as useless
