[Bug 1390013] Re: The new lightdm-gtk-greeter no longer displays the hostname

 

Just note that in new layout clock is not really centered, now panel have behavior similar to DE panels.
It's the reason why xubuntu login screen have custom settings:
indicators=~host;~spacer;~session;~language;~a11y;~clock;~power

Bug description:
  Since the update of lightdm-gtk-greeter to version 1.9.0-0ubuntu1~trusty1 the hostname is no longer displayed in the left side of the panel. It is also no longer possible to see the clock, for example, Configuration in '/etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter-ubuntu-mate.conf':
  --
  ..
  show-clock=true
  clock-format=%a, %d.%m.%Y %H:%M
  --

  In the previous version, it was still possible.
