[Bug 991907] Re: Length of imported stills
That's 5 minutes, not 5 seconds :)
We set images to have an arbitrary length of 5 minutes when they are
imported, seeing as they don't have an actual length as such. This
enables them to be extended on the timeline to a reasonable length.
I'm not sure about changing the project files tree to show the timeline
default length, as we then lose consistency across media. types. Would
it not appear confusing if you extend an image on the timeline to say 15
seconds but the project files tree shows the file having a max length of
8 seconds?

Title:
Length of imported stills
Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
New
Bug description:
I have changed the length of imported stills in the Preferences dialog
from the default 5 seconds to 8 seconds. They appear with the right
length in the timeline, but in the Project Files window the length is
still shown as 5 seconds. See attatchment.
The length in the Project Files window should really reflect the
actual length from Preferences, and not only 5 seconds.
OpenShot 1.4.2, MLT 0.7.6, Mint 9.
