[Bug 992467] [NEW] Mythbuntu Fails to Install GRUB Correctly

Public bug reported:

I have two Acer Aspire Revos, which had a previous install of Mythbuntu.
I installled Mythbunti 12.04, reformatting the / partition, but leaving
/home. After installation GRUB couldn't find the installed kernel.
However, if I booted with the usb stick that I used to install Mythbuntu
inserted it booted OK.

Note I was booting from the HD, not the USB stick. I am guessing that
the installer wrote the GRUB info to the USB stick instead of the hard
drive.

Other info:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'blkid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
# device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
# that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>
proc            /proc           proc    nodev,noexec,nosuid 0       0
# / was on /dev/sda1 during installation
UUID=83898400-7d22-4c2d-86ba-2548082ead57 /               ext4    errors=remount-ro 0       1
# /home was on /dev/sda3 during installation
UUID=d769772b-3a15-4726-b045-e27d4fe47e80 /home           ext4    defaults        0       2
# swap was on /dev/sda5 during installation
UUID=459acfe5-6b2e-403f-babf-da8fdfd36cde none            swap    sw              0       0

In the installer I chose to reformat /dev/sda1 and install Mythbuntu
there, where the previous installation existed. I kept /dev/sda3 as home
(ie not reformatted).

** Affects: mythbuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
