[Bug 1039412] [NEW] Mythbuntu theme 25.18+ OSD date/time cutoff
Public bug reported:
Since around version 25.18 of the Mythbuntu theme, the OSD during
playback (shown when seeking, or when pressing INFO for example) has
changed to show the current date and time instead of just the time.
However, at least on my screen with the videos that I watch, the time is
cutoff, and sometimes even the end of the date is cutoff. This varies
depending on the resolution of the video that I'm watching, as the size
of OSD relates to the video resolution.
For me, the time is more important than the date on the OSD. I quite
often press INFO in order to see what the current time is, but that no
longer works for me. Personally, I would be happy with just the time
appearing in the OSD, not the date (that is, back to how it was in 25.16
and earlier). If I wanted to know the date I am happy to quit playback
to get back to the Watch Recordings screen, where the date is shown.
** Affects: mythbuntu
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
