[Bug 1096333] [NEW] Freeze and Crash in 1.4.3 when playing picture only movie
Public bug reported:
In OpenShot 1.4.3 (installed via PPA) under the Kubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit version (see Linux and melt version info below) the program freezes when importing one or more JPEG files on Track 1 and then clicking the play button in the Video Preview window to play the photo film.
The freeze happens when the playback of the photo film reaches the end of the last photo in the series. With one photo the time counter shows the freeze happens after 6:029 seconds.
When closing the OpenShot window with the upper right Close button the OpenShot program crashes.
The problem makes it impossible to make photo films with OpenShot 1.4.3.
When importing the JPEG files I choose No as the answer to the question
in the pop up window on wether or not to import the picture as an image
sequence.
When the OpenShot program freezes, then pressing Ctrl+Esc in KDE shows
the System Activity window and on mouse over on the OpenShot program
item it shows in the pop up message that the OpenShot process is often
in sleep mode, but sometimes in running mode, so this message is not
always consistent.
There is no freeze and crash problem when importing one or more movie files (.MOV) and playing them.
One movie followed by one picture on Track 1 also went well, so it seems the freeze and crash only happens when using images only.
