Title:
configure fails to find some libraries

Status in A Lightweight SQL Database for Cloud Infrastructure and Web Applications:
  Won't Fix
Status in Drizzle 7.0 series:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
I have an OpenIndiana oi_148 system, upon which drizzle will not
  build. Similarity: OpenSolaris

I installed the libboost libraries to /opt/boost and then created
symlinks to them in /usr/include, /usr/lib, and /usr/lib/amd64, but
the configure script will not find them anywhere under /usr/.

I tried a ridiculously long configure line with all the libboost
prefix settings pointing to /opt/boost but only one actually worked
  (libboost_program_manager).

In all instances, my configure line included "--prefix=/opt/drizzle"
  and "--with-lib-prefix=/usr:/opt/csw:/opt/boost". The only libraries
that cannot be found are libboost.
