[Bug 507500] Re: Configuration option to set minimum segment-size

 

1) There's nothing that can be done in Linuxdcpp. This requires support
from the dc++ and bug should be filed there. Though see bug #230675
before filing. Min segment or start segment size probably won't be
implemented unless there's something wrong with the auto-resize, and
from what I gather it is working correctly for you?

2) You shouldn't need to have to wait for a slot after the first (no
matter how small) segment finishes. The download should continue from
that user until the file is finished, there's no more free segments to
start or someone disconnects the transfer.

Status in Linux DC++: New

Bug description:
Especially in 100Mbit or 1GBit LANs its very annoying to start the segmented downlading with segments below 100MB or something and then have to wait for a slot again...
I would like to see a configuration option to set the start-segment-size and perhaps the minimum segment-size.
