they are the windows that were opened before you closed the program, they just persist across program restarts.
use "Close all PM windows" from the "Window" menu to close them all in one swoop! :)

the fact that you had so many windows open means there are some hubs
that allowed all of them to be sent; just have these careless hubs
police their PMs or don't connect to them anymore.

Bug description:
Since I upgraded last week the problem started.  I open up DC++ and hundreds of offline PM windows open up completely filling up my screen so I open any other windows because I cannot see either what im typing, or the window itself.  I then have to close over 500 offline PM message before I can do anything with the programme.  

I have windows XP and have installed DC++ 0.761.
