[Bug 559095] [NEW] High cpu usage after updating to 0.76*

Public bug reported:

I have used DC++ for years now and have rarely had problems with it. I
love the program and over the past years it's only gotten better and
better, until a few days ago.

I went straight from the 0.75 version to the 0.761, because I had to
move last month, and therefore didn't have internet for about 2 months.

I've always considered DC++ to be quite a heavy program. After all, it
also processes a lot of information. It's not out of the ordinary for me
to be downloading 1 or 2 mb per second. But my computer (AMD Athlon 64,
3500+, 2,21 Ghz with 2 gb) has always kept up with it. I could easily,
while downloading an mb per second, be streaming over my wired network
to my ps3, be playing chess (grandmaster edition) even, and my computer
would keep up, no problem.

Ever since the update however, things slowed down. Whenever i am
downloading an mb per second (same internet connection as previously
btw), my entire computer becomes unusable (whenever I click on something
it takes 2-5 seconds for it to react). It is when the download is done
(and dc++ could still be running) that my computer comes to function
again.

There don't appear to be memory leaks. Only 750 mb of my 2 gb physical
memory is used after a night downloading. But when dc is downloading at
great speeds my cpu usage shoots towards 99% and everything slows down.

It seems to be like bug 323043, with the difference that my uploads only appear to the damage when dc is downloading at great speed. When I'm not downloading much, I don't experience any slowness.
This also seems to be a bit like bug 231247, with the difference that I've never had problems in earlier versions.
It also seems to be like bug 538687 but I never got the messages about C++ libraries. I read this solution though, and tried to install the update offered in that bug, but it doesn't seem to help.

Thank you in advance for helping me..

If I haven't supplied you with enough information then please let me
know and I'll respond as quick as possible.
