[Bug 887980] [NEW] Connectivity and search don't work after r2643
Public bug reported:
After testing r2644 and newer releases I can tell that searching and
connecting to others (download filelists for instance) doesn't work. I
have a 3rd party firewall (Comodo) and it show entries in its log that
are the same when somebody is trying to connect me through a specific
port but the application is not running. In my firewall log I can see
the entries about the corresponding ports DC++ is trying to use.
Although I get an entry each time in the system log about the ports
being successfully mapped, they just don't seem to work. I have also
tried manual portforwarding but checking it with a web application
showed that the ports are closed, unlike in the case of earlier builds
or even the latest release. I have also tested it on a slimmed Windows
XP via Virtualbox with bridged network interface and no 3rd party
firewall (the internal firewall was removed). The results are the same
as on my host system: older releases work, r2644 and newer don't work
when I try to search or connect to anybody.
** Affects: dcplusplus
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
