thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Sorry for not writing an
answer earlier. I've also sporadically encountered what you describe.
The problem is that this is not a bug in LottaNZB, but in the underlying
HellaNZB software that isn't developed anymore. In the past years, quite
some quirks and flaws in HellaNZB have been reported. Your report might
be a duplicate of

Theoretically, one could dive into the HellaNZB code and locate the
problem, and then fix it in the Debian/Ubuntu package of HellaNZB. But
unfortunately, I don't have the time to do so and it would probably
require quite a lot of work.

What you could try is to disable "Download PAR recovery files only if
necessary" in the LottaNZB preferences and make sure that you use the
latest version of LottaNZB, as it contains a workaround one of the bugs
above.

Besides that, I suggest you to give SABnzbd a try. We're currently
porting LottaNZB to SABnzbd, which is actively being developed and has
more features than HellaNZB.

Bug description:
When the first file has finished downloading and has been processed the next file will start to download... Unless the first file needs Pars downloading for recovery. In which case LottaNZB just hangs and stops working.If you restart LottaNZB it will then start downloading the pars for recovery for the first file.
