Indeed it seems that /Marketing is currently more artwork related. I
think merging the two pages makes a lot of sense, or at least
referencing the press kits on the marketing page.

I do know that text gets used for things like announcements to the
mailing lists, but I don't see anything current. I'm pretty sure
silverlion set up an area for this somewhere.
