Re: Sorry for absence, will be starting ISO soon

Hi Dave,

please, no need to apologize for taking your time to care about your
family. It is great to know that everything went fine with the birth
of your baby. Congratulations and all the best for your family! What
is the name of your daughter or son?

Concerning lubuntu, a few people are working on new deb packages that
we would like to get, namely Andrew Lee. Also other people are getting
involved. We need to improve the team communication here I guess. I am
thinking about it and encourage contributors to use the mailing list
as well.

We need to test the new packages with Ubuntu when they are ready to be
tested. Then we can get lubuntu going. Different people left their
ideas on the wiki page (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu). I think it
would be best to have an chat on IRC soon to finalize decisions on
packages to include together.

We also had some people working on artwork. We need to get a team
going, that talks to each other here as well. I received some private
mails with great ideas already.

Seems like things are getting started.

Thanks to everyone!

All the best,

Mario

I think I am going to have start out making a remaster from a mini.iso install with all the apps that ppl want, and then use that ISO to build from with reconstrutor, as the I cannot get reconstructor to see the mini.iso as a valid install media.

I am planning on using the Lubuntu iso as a base for it, so it in my best interest to get crackin on Lubuntu,
