More until October 15th, the Final Freeze on Karmic.

Only the meta is included, so it's only the list of applications
installed by default (the seed).

I'm still testing my specific packages for settings and artwork, but it
requires more and more modifications than I though in the beginning.
You can see and test the advance in my PPA :
https://launchpad.net/~gilir/+archive/lubuntu

To summarize, it needs :
- 1 new package to the archive (need agreement from Ubuntu release
team).
- 3 components up-to-date to svn current version.
- 1 hack in pcmanfm (which still need a bit improvement)
- some minor adjustments to others packages.

The whole seems quite stable, but I didn't test all components,
especially if the user run a classic LXDE installation.

My feelings are that is quite late to introduce those changes for
Karmic. I'm sure it's a good option for Karmic+1, but I prefer another
solution for Karmic : patch directly LXDE packages to change the artwork
and settings. The main disadvantage is that you can't have a genuine
LXDE installation, but other distributions seems to do the same. So I
don't think it's a big deal for the short term.

Good ! :) The main problem will be the choice of the theme :) I still
think a vote will be necessary, even if it's short in time.

24 Sep. is the artwork deadline for Karmic. We should begin to follow
those deadline if we want to be an official *ubuntu in the future :)
24 Sep. is also the Beta freeze, which mean in theory, no more feature
or modification of default settings. Upload after this date should be
bug fixes only.

All deadline and important dates are on the Karmic Schedule :
