Good news! Ready to test new alpha.
But however, I have tested using wicd 1.7.0 - on the 3 out of 4 computers it
works perfectly, and only on my notebook it needs manual configuration. Then
I installed network-manager and everything is now working automatically, but
the use of memory increase from 180 Mb to 200 Mb by default (I've got 3 Gb
memory on my notebook so it doesn't matter for me)... So I don't know
whether network-manager is a good choice on the low-end machines. But we
will see on the coming alpha 3. For the other choices I agree.
