*Video*
well I still have not gotten MPlayer to play copyrighted dvd's (I think I
downloaded every codec, mythbuntu and everything else) I popped vlc on and
it worked out of the box. I know that playing dvd's is not high on the list
of things for lubuntu to do ;-)

*Music*
Aqualung I'm quietly impressed with. There was a previous discussion about
other players, which I have tried; but they have all crashed when faced with
a dvd upon which there is 4GB of music files (Over 2 days worth if played
continuously), this music is in mp3 format and spilt between 1st folder and
many sub-folders. Aqualung took about a couple of minutes to get them all
onto its playlist.

*Browser*
I've gotten pretty used to Chromium, but am happy with any browser that can
use tabs & supports WOT http://www.mywot.com/ etc. The only thing I would
add to that is any replacement browser *must* be able to import passwords,
history & bookmarks from the likes of Firefox. Chromium can import such
items from a Ffox installation that was on a Windows machine, such ease of
transfer is, IMHO, a big plus for Chromium (That and the devs do actually
reply to bug reports - which is also a big plus).

I'm glad to see that discussions are taking place about what are the best
for Lubuntu, however these programmes must be in the ubuntu repos and up to
date for lubuntu to be adopted. lubuntu will not be able to ship with ppa's
required for its installation.
