Re: WARNING: X-server breakage coming soon to a computer near you
Hi Lane,
What I did, after a lot of messing around trying to get things to work, was
this:
- Log in to recovery console for root with networking
- rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf
- apt-get remove nvidia-current
- apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
- reboot
I think that put me back to about what I had by default before I used the
"Hardware Drivers" program to install the nvidia-current driver. In any
event, it once again works fine unless you want to watch DVD's or some such.
hth
Regards,
Bob
