A good idea, as it will make bug tracking and translation easier.

Having had a look at LXDE based distros from Mandriva and Suse, both of which have 'control centres', this is a very welcome and important addition.  It should make setting up and customisation a lot easier then it presently is, searching through menus for bits here and there.

If anybody is feeling ambitious, porting YaST to (L)Ubuntu would be wonderful :P
