Hi everyone. I'm Jean Austin of Ubuntu Team Philippines. I read about this interesting news in OMG! Ubuntu! online a few days ago and decided to try it. I am running a virtualized Lubuntu 11.10 that I recently upgraded to test the beta. However, like Matthew, I encountered the same error message when launching Lubuntu Software Center in a Terminal (with and without 'sudo'). I also tried launching it from the LXDE menu but unfortunately had problems too. I tried filing a bug report but an error box appeared and said [Problem in ... lubuntu-software-center] "The problem cannot be reported: This is not a genuine Ubuntu package." Probably missed something to add or do? I'll try some things more and would report to this list as soon as I can. Glad to be of help anytime, anywhere.
