I've somewhat thought the same thing, but I'd point out that these mini.iso/netboot installations take nearly two hours each, whereas a typical live-iso install takes about 20 minutes.

Additionally there was no official upgrade testing for Lubuntu during Alpha 2 testing. Since Lubuntu Oneiric was official there should be an official upgrade path from Lubuntu Oneiric to Lubuntu Precise, and it should be tested ...... if nothing else so we can address known issues in the release notes ;^)

generally i would say http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/ and indeed there is powerpc alternate/desktop testcases under Lubuntu but i don't see netinstalls anywhere, even for Ubuntu. so i'm not sure how those are "officially" tracked. Phil, do you have any thoughts on this?



that being said, i guess we should start by seeing if it works at all. do an install and then run the result. report any bugs with ubuntu-bug. tell us the results.
