Re: Lubuntu 12.04 - fan and cpu speed control is in some way wrong

i just want to say that this is something i had a problem with when i first
installed lubuntu on my ppc. i couldn't even compile without the bloody
thing just shutting itself down. the only thing i could do to mitigate it
was covering it in icepacks. seriously. i search forums and google and
wikis and irc and you name it trying to fix it but no could do.

my parallel (a desperate one at that) was mintppc. it worked without
problems. i couldn't figure out why, though. i was in the process of
comparing it to other distros and simultaneously trying to dissect the
mintppc installation process when i got gifted an x86 laptop and the ppc
got kind of forgotten for a while.

so this is a long way of saying +1 but this is a big issue that really
needs to be looked at if the ppc port is to truly survive.

btw powerbook 12" g4 1.5ghz over here.
