Re: Mac G3 testing - desktop .iso

 

All of the options would need testing, but if ubiquity could be 'taught'
that it was a G3, then placing  a four year old xorg.conf file onto a
machine of at least that age would, at least, ensure the thing boots into a
readable screen. It's not perfect, but it looks like it may be attainable?
One case for so doing, is that lubuntu has not retired 10.04, even though
we do not have any LTS's (not even 12.04), simply because it was the last
kernel to support pre i686 chipsets.
