Thanks. For me the options worked from the CD. I was using CDRW even
though they are slow to burn and to use for installation. I have to try
making the USB stick again. I've not had luck finding good directions
on that.

It's good that you have a wireless set up that you can easily use. I
don't have a convenient set up yet. This round I'd like to try testing
more the wireless in the AMD64+mac architecture, since it was not
working last round. Ironicially the wireless in the soon to be 10 years
old G4 works perfectly during the installation and afterwards.

I wasn't able to get the persistent USB working but that may be from my
being obtuse or something.
