So it's been a couple weeks. Thanks to everyone who's signed up and
contributed results. The kernel team has been busy following up; I
appreciate everyone's willingness to debug the problems found with that
team. Good work!
This testing has now been migrated over to the production tracker and can
be found here:
http://packages.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/223/builds
In addition, it's gotten an extra twist. The kernel team has put together a
list of common hardware they would like to ensure compatibility with. That
list can be found on this page. I'm asking those of you who are willing to
install and run the 12.10 testing kernels on precise to add your name to
that list under the hardware your device contains. You can find more info
on the wiki page itself.

Thanks everyone!

I just wanted to follow-up and thank those of you who've taken the time to
try this out. If you haven't and have a box running precise give it a
whirl! For those of you that made the leap, please be sure and report your
results:
http://packages.qa.dev.stgraber.org/qatracker/milestones/223/builds/16265/testcases/1301/results
That page let's you report results; provided you have logged in with your
ubuntu sso account. (see that login button on the left? click it!) . It
only takes a moment, and is really important to the kernel team to
understand that the kernel worked for you or not. If anything wasn't quite
right, please report a bug for it! There's instructions on doing so on this
page.
http://packages.qa.dev.stgraber.org/qatracker/milestones/223/builds/16265/downloads
When you report your result simply include the bug number.
Thanks everyone!
Nicholas
P.S. For those who've used the new qatracker, I'd love to hear feedback --
hit the reply button and detail your experience. We want this to be easy!

I know some of you out there are still enjoying the goodness of precise and
haven't yet made the leap. Here's a way you can help out and put your
precise installation to good use for testing :-)
As you know the kernel team will be supporting newer kernels on the LTS
release of ubuntu. As part of that, they need help in testing these newer
kernels on the 12.04 release. Wanting some of the quantal goodness on
precise? Here you are!
Check out the full details below, and note that we're using the qatracker
for this as talked about at UDS! This is a test build of the qatracker with
expanded capabilities to be able to do this type of testing. Please let me
know your feedback on how the tool works for you.
