The bug above may be confined to Lubuntu.  On the 20120805 after
installation of Lubuntu Desktop amd64 I added the LXDE environment to
be able to switch between the two DEs. The regular Lubuntu has the bug
when running System Profiler & Benchmark (hardinfo).  Small boxes open
in front of the main window with no information in the small boxes.  I
have about five of them to close before I can use the application.
When I choose LXDE to run under I have no small boxes appearing.
Thought I might mention that here.

Testing Xubuntu and adding the hardinfo application on 20120804 build
did not show the bug either.
