this brings up something i was wondering. i remember a couple years back the announcement that the broadcom drivers got open sourced. i see some mention on askubuntu about a package compat-wireless that these were supposed to be included in. yet it's still ALWAYS a separate install. which doesn't make sense considering ppc almost universally requires them. anyone?
