Message #01688
State of play
Hi,
As we are about at what an alpha 1 would be (a couple of flavors did freeze
all updates). I'd a like anyone to chip in on anything I've missed:
1) Ubquity bug that kills VM's.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1086036 Which affects
every flavour.
2) manual partitioning fails to create a partition table
http://launchpad.net/bugs/1084729 Which affects every flavour.
3) black on black / greyed check boxes (art-work) (This is quite okay this
early... I know the artwork team are on the case for lubuntu).
Can the PPC guys please reply back as to how things are?
Can I re-state that if you have a an unloved bug... PLEASE get it mentioned
on here simply nag the life out of me!
On a different note, QA / Testing are going to be holding some classroom
sessions in January 2013. We're doing okay for speakers to hold them. If
there are any areas you think a new-comer to testing should have as a
reference (all classroom sessions are archived) that are not on the list
[1]. We'd like to have the session topics sorted out before Christmas.
Oh, and if anyone is using KVM in Quantal, I do have a fix for guestfs not
working, I've requested it to be applied to Q, as it is an R fix.
Regards,
Phill.
