Re: ppc problems with lubuntu ISOs

Thanks for answering my questions. I was following strictly the links I found at Home » Testing tracker >> Download links for Lubuntu Alternate powerpc on the Ubuntu ISO Testing page I ran through an entire testcase for ubuntu server and didn't run into the "Try FAMILY" & "Startup Disk Creator" instructions that mystified me. Its easy to understand how one day the links might be wrong/broken. Today I found an April 8th zsync http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily/pending/raring-alternate-powerpc.iso.zsync and have it burning. Being such a newb I didn't know that figuring out for myself what was the newest image and testing it was appropriate. Could I be of any official help testing this 'pending' ISO? ( same as image on http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily/20130408/ - tested with zsync after /pending burned)

I see both Lubuntu Desktop powerpc and Lubuntu Alternate powerpc in Raring Beta 2 read (archived) even though 0/x mandatory tests show up and looks like Run Once is 'None' ?

I have 3 ppc machines to test on, a valuable resource for the testing process if I could figure out how (I have 5/6 partitions on the G4s and had trouble letting go of working yaboots to run the testcases literally). I've now rehabbed an old 10GB FireWire drive to test on to get around the ppc non-USB-boot hassle : whirring annoyingly but it is bootable. Too late to test any 13.04 now? Is testing an never-ending process I wonder but I'll just sign up for 13.05 and try to be of some help whenever that starts up.
