Re: Printer issue in13.04
That was it! I actually tried starting cups but didn't know I needed to use the "start" command.
Once I started cups all I needed to do was install hplib, but now I'm printing like a champ. Thanks!!!

In the terminal type this, lpstat -r and hit enter this will give you read out at the end of it if it says, (scheduler is not running) then you need to start cups, in terminal run sudo start cups hit enter. now when you go back to menu > system tools > printers. you should be a to install your printer as long is turned on.

I had to do the sudoku apt-get cups, in order for my install to recognize my printer all in one. I'm on my phone now so I can't pull up the bug number. I will post a little later on the bug.

Start the service on this computer or connect to another server." Any ideas? This is an issue specific to Lubuntu, because the "Printers" application works fine in Ubuntu, Xubuntu, and Ubuntu Gnome.
