Here is my suggestion. Let's go for Firefox now.
We would have SO MUCH time to test it even before releasing 13.10 and IF
and ONLY IF Firefox failed at some points and we came to know that was a
huge mistake then:

1- We can avoid it with 14.04 and we would have time to see what could
Canonical make out of that switch for them.
2- We can always install Chromium from the Repository.

This is the WORST case scenario and I'm very positive that Firefox won't
let us down :)
