I checked 20130617 i386 and it seems OK to me:

I see from your bug filing that it states:

"LiveMediaBuild: Lubuntu 13.10 "Saucy Salamander" - Alpha i386 (20130607)"

Are you perhaps booting the iso using grub2 and getting the path_to_iso
wrong?
