I filed a bug report last night after running ubuntu- bug. Theurl for the report is below. There are files attached to the reportwhich were automatically added by ubuntu-bug, which may give you some idea of what's going on. (This is much above above my knowledge level.I'm afraid I'm not even sure if I used ubuntu-bug correctly.) Anyway, here's the url: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1194319 KeithDo you think these problems are driver issues, or lack of memory? NioI have 2GB memory (maximum for any Powermac G4), so it's not a lack ofmemory.I don't possess the knowledge/Linux experience to diagnose driver issues.I can say that the first obvious sign of a problem (to me) is when anetwork connection cannot be established. It tries twice, then times outand continues without one. KeithNo you have enough memory. What installer are you using? Are you trying wifi or wired connection? Did you try according to this wiki page?https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Documentation/ MinimalInstall#Unmanaged_Wired_Network
I am only trying to test the daily Live CD, not do an installation. I have been testing the dailies since Raring, but I haven't always reported a passed test on the QA tracker page. They have always worked well (with the right boot parameters to fix the recursive bug and radeon video problems).
Starting with the 6/21 daily, I have not been able to boot my machine with the Live CD. (Just to clarify, I always use a USB flash drive to boot). At this moment, I don't have a spare hard drive to try a full installation.
