Re: Fwd: UNetbootin failed to create LiveUSB (SanDisk Cruzer Edge 4GB)

Hi,

I think by the time 13.10 is released, Unetbootin will catch up and have
a working version available. I hope it will also have time to migrate to
the ubuntu repositories.

But the dd method is always reliable, particularly when supported with
some help program or front end, so that you will write to the desired
target drive. See this link

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1958073

It is also possible that the dd-adventure made it hard for Unetbootin to
use the pendrive. You can wipe the first megabyte with the help of
'mkusb' or manually, as described in the paragraph 'Wipe the CD file
system' in the link, and then make a new partition table and file system.

Best regards
Nio
