I downloaded and ran the PPC Live ISO via usb flash stick earlier
today. After an abnormally long time it finally loaded to the
desktop and everything looked fine.
However, when I launched Firefox, it locked up the computer. No
mouse or keyboard response. I couldn't get to a console. I had to
force quit by holding down the power button on the computer for 5
seconds.
On my second attempt, immediately after the desktop appeared, I
tried to use the power off icon at the bottom right corner of the
desktop to shut down the computer. This resulted in a white screen
and again a locked up computer. I again had to force quit by holding
in the power button on the computer for 5 seconds.
On my third attempt, when I launched the disk utility. it appeared
and seemed ok, but then I couldn't close it. This time I was able to
get to a console and shutdown the computer. I will try again in a
little while and attempt to file a bug.
This was on a Powermac G4 MDD, 1 Ghz single processor computer.
Best regards,
Keith
