HOWTO Keep everyone in the loop :)
Dear All,
I had a chat with Phill recently about a topic I personally find it very
important. Due to different Time Zones, there are no more Weekly Meetings
[1] as we used to have that in the past. Hence, the best and almost the
only way to communicate is the *mailing list*.
Long Story short. Starting from today, let's all agree please to do one
simple thing. When someone wants to do anything as a project/ask or
whatever related to Lubuntu, let's please send an email to the sub-team
that related to the area of that project/task to keep everyone informed and
in the loop of what is going on.
Please, note this is not to take permission, this is more like a Team Work
and keeping everyone involved up-to-date :)
Example:
I want to write a new guide say for installing Lubuntu on USB Drive. Before
anything, I send an email to the Wiki Team and any other team who maybe
involved as well, say the support team. Saying that I'm working on this
project and once done, I will let you know.
That is all.
*What is the point from all that?*
Before, we used to send 'after' we are done - I used to do this sometimes.
Then after the team will have a look of what is done, notes and feedback
start be exchanged and sent.
Instead, let's do this 'before' so the ideas/thoughts/suggestions will
start to kick in before getting your hands dirty in whatever you are
planning for. Perhaps what you are up to is already exist? perhaps it is
not the right time for it? bottom line, this called a team work and
planning ahead.
Thank you!
