maas will be a virtual package and I think it should install all the
dependencies that the *old* package installed, plus the new ones, to be
sure that upgrades go smoothly.

In this case I don't suggest changing the naming convention as we would
be going away from what it is standard and from what the Policy tries to
achieve.

See all the other python-django-* packages.

This has already been changed to: 

python-maas-client (installs apiclient)
maas-cli (installs maascli)
