I have a branch up to fix this: it resulted from a side-effect in an
earlier change to make database locking stricter. Review and land it
and your problems will, I hope, go away. I'm way past EOD now, so over
to you, collectively, until I start again at about 0810 UTC. Sorry for
breaking stuff.
